Shaun Whale on the Climies Track cliff edge, the Durack River on the way to Oombulgurri, and Tim's near rollover in Moab. Ten of the biggest 4WD 24/7 moments, Cape York to the Simpson Desert.

Christmas Day, so here's the reel. It opens on the Old Telegraph Track in Cape York at its wettest, with Shaun "Shauno" Whale's farm truck and Graham Cahill's G60 Patrol driving in so deep the water comes through the door seals and one of them starts again while it's still under. Then it's the Simpson Desert and a glove box, a swag, a roof rack and a camera bag quietly filled with patty melons while Graham Cahill is off filming dunes.

The Climies Track on Tasmania's west coast is next, and it's the waterfall section — a rock step with a cliff edge on one side and a 4WD that wants to lean the wrong way. Shauno gets a long way in and then makes a call. After that it's the Pascoe River in Cape York running full and fast with Jesse Gleeson and Jock McDonald winching in on extensions from both banks, a camp oven cook-up in the Glass House Mountains that gets very hard to narrate, and the Simpson Desert Bush Mechanic Challenge under an unseasonal monsoon, where two of the four 4WDs are already in limp mode and losing oil and the only plan left is to push them through the floodwater by hand.

Then Moab in Utah, where Tim bounces off a line on day one and comes about as close to going over as anyone has on this channel. Pete's bilge pumps get a run, Shaun Whale and Jesse Gleeson cut fresh track through a 60-year-old stock route in Far North Queensland with chainsaws, shovels and mattocks, and it finishes on the Durack River in the Kimberley — boulder after boulder in fast-moving water, lockers in, winches out to the only tree on the bank, and a whole convoy to get across before the Oombulgurri Track even starts.
