Step inside a Lawson's store in 1974 to revisit the freezing twilight and unique atmosphere of an Ohio winter.

Before modern convenience chains dominated the landscape, the local corner shop was the heart of the neighborhood. This footage captures the specific, mechanical jingle of the glass door and the fluorescent glow of a Lawson's store, preserving the texture of a daily routine that has largely vanished from the modern map.

We explore the remnants of 1970s Ohio, from the iconic cowhead design on cartons of chocolate milk to the quiet scenes of children in a school cafeteria. By reviewing these vintage grocery stores, we document the small artifacts of our past that bridge the gap to a world that feels both distant and intimate. This collection serves as a reminder of how forgotten American history is often found in the most ordinary places.
